oh come on! did it have to be a seer!

Post by rs on Aug 28, 2011 15:06:32 GMT 1
mmm, if you'd given us the option of having an extra wolf over a sane seer. I'd asked for Marjen to be removed from the game...
Oh well, whats done is done. Just think this gives the Village a massive chance to get back in the game due to a villager cheating :/

Yeah seriously. I'd have preferred losing marjen altogether.

I think all 6 of us need to vote for Crappy

Cider, we got the 2 seers fair and square. We didnt really need an extra wolf. This is better for the villagers and theyre the ones who cheated

I think all 6 of us need to vote for Crappy I guess. Cider, can we make one us the seer?

He can't change it now can he?
Does that mean our votes are redundant for the Seer question Cider?

lol. Thanks Cider, you've actually rewarded the villagers for cheating!

C'mon cider. It would have been way better to simply let marjen go. This is a huge boost for the village.

A Sane Seer is much more powerful in this game than a Wolf. Surely you can see that Cider?

I couldn't kill marjen, because that would be punishing a player for coming forward about cheating, which obviously would discourage anyone else doing the same in future; I hope you can understand that; I had to keep marjen in the game somehow. Naturally this upset the village, who shouldn't have been punished either as THM acted entirely independently; the only role that would ballance the addition of a wolf is a seer, and so I made the decision to add one to the game. The method of chooseing though I've created in your favour; though your own votes will not count, you'll have a much greater chance of finding out who the seer is than if it were chosen by random number generator. It's a difficult situation, but this hopefully will prove to be the best course of action, as I really couldn't think of anything better.

For all we know THM contacted several players in this game and they're simply being dishonest! Bah humbug

Blame THM not me is all I can say.

Yes, but THM has essentialy given the villagers a helping hand in this game by cheating

Post by meh on Aug 28, 2011 15:19:27 GMT 1
HOw do we have a good chance of finding out who the new seer is?

|
Post by meh on Aug 28, 2011 15:19:57 GMT 1
What if the villagers pick one of us?

You've had a helping hand yourselves too though. Even with a seer, it's going to be very difficult for them to kill off six wolves in time.

HOw do we have a good chance of finding out who the new seer is? Well you can use logic and deduction to try and second guess who the villagers will choose. With random number generation you'd not have that luxury. It's an interesting solution if nothing else, no?

A bunch of people seem to trust crappy. Cider, will you let a wolf become a seer?

|
|
Post by rs on Aug 28, 2011 15:22:06 GMT 1
You have to acknowledge Cider that from now on we're going to have paranoia about players cheating. The shift to get me lynched today considering what THM sent to Marjen stinks frankly.
I know its not your fault Cider, but this could basically change the game completely in the villages favour.

If they choose a wolf then they've wasted the opportunity.
RS, I'm aware that cheating can spoil the game for people, which is why the rules are so adamant about it. THM is a right cunt, but the vast majority of players have all been honest throughout the werewolf series of games, and if anyone else has been contacted then I'd expect most would come forward.

Guys, it's not ideal but fuck it. In the face of adversity n that.
I don't see how cider had any other choice really.
We just need to keep doing what we're doing and we'll win. Im sure of it.

No I agree CW, I'd accepted the decision pretty much straight away. Its one of those tricky situations and I do appreciate Ciders position. Doesn't mean we have to be overly happy about it though Anyway, i've made my points clear in the turn 4 thread
